The local importer sent me a mail yesterday asking me if I´d like to buy a "closed bag" with 40/50 wildcaught A. viejita (I don´t mind if they´re type I or II) from Peru.

Of course, I know that A. viejita comes from Colombia. Any ideas?, does someone knows what fish is sold in Peru labelled "viejita" (something like A. juruensis from Peru, we know is A. sp. "Black chin").

A. sp. "Black chin" and A. cacatuoides :)

By the way, very interesting what can come as Viejita

Since we know that they are most unlikely to be A. viejita, they could be anything. My suspicion is that they are something that looks like viejita - maybe a eunotus-like species.

Well, I convince the importer to sell me 1/2 bag of A. viejita (?) and 1/2 bag of A. panduro.

In a week or so, we´ll know.
