End of July I am going to Germqany to visit my friend Uwe. It is of course a party and collecting trip. I already have some great fish waiting on me, including one that everyone will be amazed to see. Any suggestions, for fish of course and no promises. On a sad note, a really great guy and a great aquarist and friend of mine in Germany has recently died-Frank Wilhelm, the world is the lesser for this.

Hi Dave,
Very sad indeed to hear about the death of Frank Wilhelm. I hadnt met Frank but the fish i received from him(and Nadja) via Uwe have been superb specimens. Some superb breeding achievements during his work with Apistogramma.
I think i know of the fish that "Everyone will be amazed to see".... Fingers crossed i will get some also in the near future. Quite exciting....
Cheers,
Mark...

Sorry to hear the Herr Wilhem has passed. Enjoy your trip to Germany, but I guess that means that you will not be at the ACA convention this year.

Camera prices are so much less expensive in the USA for some reason. Just buy a D700 here in the US and take it to him. I did something similar when I went to Peru. Just check to see if you can get an international warantee to take with you.

Hi,
I'm very sad to hear that Frank has passed.
He was really a great guy and breeder and he always has been a very helpful and hospitable man as the rest of the family Wilhelm.

Dave,
Think you can get some Pelvicachromis suboccelatus Matadi? I'd like a couple of pairs. I think they are easier to get in Europe (tank bred fish).
