I have some questions about westafrican lakes.
1. Where are crater lakes of Cameroon (Ejagham, Bermin, Barombi-ba-Kotto)?
Please give me moderately precise longitude and latitude.
2. Are in Lake Mai-Ndombe cichlid species without N. transvestitus?
3. Are in Lake Barombi-ba-Kotto cichlid species without C. guentheri loennbergii?

Hello Peter,
I'd be hard pressed to locate longitude and latitude coordinates for the Cameroonian crater lakes, but most of them are in the west-central part of the country. You should be able to locate some of the larger ones on a good map of the country.
I'm not sure what you're asking in your other two questions. Can you help me out here, please?
Thanks!

I wanted to ask if other cichlids take a stand in these lakes.

Hello Peter,
There may be more species, but Hemichromis cerasogaster is endemic to Lake Mai Ndombe in the Dem. Rep. of the Congo, and Tilapia (Coptodon) kottae is endemic to Lake Barombi ba Kotto and Lake Mboadong in Cameroon.
All the best,
Randall Kohn
Addendum:
Hemichromis elongatus is also found in Lake Barombi ba Kotto.
