How many Cacs in a 55?

Would I be able to successfully house two trios of cacatuoides in a fairly heavily planted 55 gallon? I am assuming that I could "create" territories by arranging the deco a bit to break up the line of sight, but would this be enough? Also, how aggressive will males get when defending the space (ie to the death)?

Hello I would only house 1 trio in a 55 gal tank. Ime I have had one male chase the other one until he had no where to hide and was always on the top part of the tank. I think no matter how you arrange the substrae you will run into the problem with one fish bullying the other. I have had some cacatuoides that are not aggressive and others that are really aggressive, I guess it just depends on the fish. Tea
