My LFS has a group of Dicrosus for just over a month living in moderately hard water with a ph of 7.5, does this mean that they are likely to be acclimatised and hence I could keep them with my trio of a. borelli. My tapwater is the same as the LFS but I am going to get an RO for christmas and will be gradually softening the water.

Also if I mix dicrosus with a. borelli what would be a good ph and GH/KH to aim for that both would be happy to live in.

Thanks

David

I have never had a problem keeping Dicrossus in pH above 7 (never tried near 8 though) and hardness above 50 mS conductivity. Breeding and raising fry is another story. You will need that RO to do that.
