hey guys i have some spare tanks i was just wondering if any of the dwarf cichlids could live comfortably in a 5 gallon. any pairs even? just wondering, and looking for some input.

When I have no 10's, I do use 5's. But just for one pair each tank and have 3-4 clays pots along with a lot of Java fern or Java moss. What I do if they breed is take out the male and let the female do her thing.

hehh... 5 gallon went to my 1 inch spotted puffer...

maybe ill set up a 10 for some apisto's.....

Scooter, Really not that often as there are only 2 fish in there. I am terrible about water changes. I certainly don't change every week! More like EOW. Then about 50%.

Thanks ZMan. I've never kept anything smaller than a 10 and I think they're a little trickier than bigger tanks, in terms of maintaining steady state.
