All,

I know that when water is changed in fry tanks, the new water must have nearly identical pH/hardnes values to avoid stressing the fry. But what about temperature? I ask this because I use revitalized RO waer, which is stored at room temperature until needed. My house is signifcantly colder than my fish tanks, and when I change more than 10% of the tank volume, the temperature usually drops 2-3 degrees. Is this going to bother the fry?

Matthew,
I've never had much of a problem with that, unless the fry are some hypersensative types (Ram fry seem to die on me if I look at them funny). Most of the other apistos and dwarfs don't seem to be too bothered by it. I probably swing a good 5 degrees when I do the water changes (More when I forget to plug the heater back in 8O ).
